CLAIM PROCESS - HOUSEOWNERS

  1. Notify SRIC

    1. As soon as the damage happens.
    2. If the claim involves theft, or loss of property, take all necessary steps to discover the guilty party and recover the property.
    3. Within 30 days of the occurrence of the loss, submit to SRIC in writing, full details of the loss.
    4. Claims will not be payable after 12 months from occurrence of event leading to the claim. Exceptions will be made only if the claim is subject to pending legal action.
  2. ORGANIZE ALL REQUIRED PAPER WORK

    1. Obtain and complete a claim form
    2. Get Repair or replacement quotations. IF you have already repaired, please attach all receipts to your claim form. 
    3. Should loss be crime related matter it must be reported to police immediately.
    4. If there is a legal claim against you, attach all documents e.g. letter of demand or notice of claim or summons, any proof information or sworn declaration.
  3. FILL AND SUBMIT THE CLAIM FORM  

    1. Once all the documents stated above are available, you can fill a claim form.
    2. You download a copy or you can visit SRIC offices in Manzini or Mbabane.
    3. Email the form to claims@sric.sz.
  4. PAY APPLICABLE EXCESSES

    1. The excess payment in respect of motor claims shall be made directly to SRIC, either at the cashier’s office (cash or point of sale – card) or a transfer can be made into the company account
    2. In the event the excess is not paid to SRIC, the final settlement amount after the claim is approved will be less the due excess in accordance with the schedule as stated in your policy document.
